Anoushka Shankar Anoushka Shankar, a British American singer and musician is best known for her songs. She won the British House of Commons' Shield, which is the youngest and also the first female recipient. Apart from the nine Grammy awards She was also the first Indian-born musician to be a presenter and performer during the ceremony live. Anoushka Shankar is among India's most promising stars on the sitar. She is both the daughter and student of Ravi Shankar. Her birthplace was London in 1982, and during her early years, she swam her time between London New Delhi. At New Delhi, she made her first appearance at only 13 years of age. At the age of 13, she finished her high school studies in Encinitas CA. Anouskha was only a teenager, has had an impressive recording and performing career. For a long time she regularly performs with her father. The singer made Anourag her first solo album in 1998. It was nominated for a Grammy Award. Carnegie Hall album was released in 2002.
